Smuin Contemporary Ballet is a San Francisco-based dance company pushing the boundaries of ballet through innovative choreography and musical selections. As Smuin’s first prima ballerina, Celia Fushille worked closely with founder Michael Smuin until his sudden passing in 2007. Today, as Smuin’s Artistic Director, she honors Michael’s legacy with works that continue to fascinate and delight audiences—ballet aficionados or otherwise.
